The Breeze planters bring horticultural tech together with sophisticated design. Cyrc’s designer, Guy, has used fabric grow bags for urban farming on his Montréal rooftop for years. He has always been impressed by the beautiful root system of his plants at the end of the season, thanks to the unique advantages of Grow Bags. Grow bags are porous. When a root hits the bag wall it is exposed to air and self-prunes, triggering the root to start a new lateral shoot. This creates a healthy, dense, and fibrous root system that never becomes root-bound, which leads to a more vigorous plant that can better absorb water and nutrients and reduces transplant shock.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Air pruning occurs when roots reach the perforated planter walls and are exposed to air, causing them to naturally self-prune and branch into new lateral shoots. This prevents roots from circling (becoming root-bound) and creates a healthy, dense root system. The result? More vigorous growth, better nutrient absorption, improved water uptake, and significantly reduced transplant shock. It's technology commercial growers have used for years, now available for your indoor plants.

  • Our precision-perforated wall design creates strategic ventilation and an air gap between the included fabric grow bag and the planter exterior. This allows the grow bag to breathe properly while the perforations facilitate air exposure to roots. The elevated drainage system keeps the bag bottom raised, ensuring roots never sit in water while maintaining optimal airflow throughout the root zone.

  • Nearly all houseplants benefit from air pruning, but it's especially transformative for plants prone to root-binding like fiddle leaf figs, rubber plants, monsteras, large philodendrons, palms, and fast-growing tropicals. Any plant that typically needs frequent repotting will thrive in the Breeze system, developing healthier roots and more vigorous growth in the same pot size.

  • The handles make maintenance remarkably easy. Simply grip and lift to remove your plant for watering at the sink, shower cleaning, or inspection. When not in use, tuck the handles down along the inside of the planter where they disappear from view. This gives you functional convenience without compromising the clean aesthetic of the planter exterior.

  • The Breeze planter is designed for indoor use only. Avoid direct sunlight exposure and temperatures above 50°C, as these can affect the PLA material. Due to the nature of 3D printing, you may notice slight surface irregularities or pattern variations, these are characteristic of the additive manufacturing process and make each piece subtly unique. Clean with cool water and mild soap, wiping gently as needed. The planter is not dishwasher safe.
