The T2 is Phoam at its most compact. A perfect 12 inch cube, lower and more concentrated than the taller original, as much a sculptural plinth as an end table. The honeycomb relief wraps every face, and the arched base lifts it just clear of the floor.

Its colour is the material itself. We move our studio-recycled PLA from warm red to deep blue as the piece prints, with no paint and no coating, so the gradient lives in the object rather than on it. No two are alike, and this one shifts as you move around it, terracotta warming one face, petrol blue cooling the next, plum pooling in the honeycomb hollows between. A solid white oak top sits above, its pale open grain a quiet counterweight to the colour below.

Made in small batches in our Montréal studio. And like every Phoam, it's made to return to us at the end of its life, and become the next.

Recycled PLA base:
Keep out of direct sun and away from heat sources. PLA begins to soften around 50–60°C (120–140°F), so keep it at normal indoor room temperature. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Skip solvents, alcohol, and abrasive pads. Dust the honeycomb texture with a soft brush.

Birch top:
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry right away. Don't let water sit. Use coasters under anything wet, hot, or heavy. Keep out of prolonged sun to avoid fading.

General:
Lift, don't drag. Dust regularly to keep both surfaces looking their best.

Made From What We Already Have

Our recycled PLA is made in our own studio from offcuts, failed prints, and pieces sent back to us. Nothing is extracted to make Phoam. It's built from material that already existed.

3D printing lets us push form where casting and moulding can't, like Phoam's honeycomb relief and arched base, printed as one. We produce in our own studio, in small batches, only what we need. It's how a single machine gives us both creative range and full control over what we make and how much.
